Rules of Cornhole Games

The game of Cornhole is usually enjoyed by people during spring and summer time as the weather remains fine for outdoor games with healthy competition among family member or friends. These games, sometimes also get involved in raising funds, kids’ parties, backyard bbq and other outdoor events. This is an easy game which includes less number of parts, thereby not confusing the players. It can be set up within no time and does not demand any special skill for that. Therefore, people of all age groups can play a Cornhole game because of its simplicity and the fun involved in it.

Like other games, The Cornhole game also has some official rules which are to be followed like the rules regarding the layout of court, length of a particular game, the scoring procedure, pitching distances and much more. Few of the major Cornhole rules game are as follows:

  • There should be 2 boards included along with 4 chosen pitcher’s box which further assists in serving the purpose of foul lines. Stepping outside the four feet boundary is considered as a foul.

 

  • There should be 27 feet distance between the 2 boards which serves as the throwing distance.

 

  • When the Cornhole is able to land in the bag inside the hole, being placed on the board, the player scores three points; not getting inside the hole and landing only on the board will fetch one point. This phenomenon is known as Boarder or Woody.

 

  • One can limit the Cornhole game in two ways. The one being playing till any of the teams reach to 21 points,and the other is by playing 13 frames. In case of a tie, a toss is done to select the winning team.
